Robert Alfred Petty Jr.

Robert Alfred Petty Jr. “Rob” 62, went to heaven on January 6, 2018 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was born January 4, 1956 in Fort Worth, TX. Rob had a passion for animals especially two cows Daisy and Seminole and the baby bull, Sundown. Turk the turkey and his two cats Moe and Journey were his beloved pets. He was a simple man and loved canoeing on the Brazos River where he took many family members out to enjoy the land and the water. Just like his father, he loved the beauty of the back roads.

Rob enjoyed fishing on Lake Bridgeport, where he taught his nephews how to fish and always shared his favorite “fish” tales. His hobby was white dove releases.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Alfred Petty, mother Cara Lee Locke, and sister, Kathryn Ann Crews. He is survived by his loving sisters Michele Hopper, married to George, Lisa Pilgrim, married to Mike, Ruth Bennett married to James. Uncle Rob had 7 nephews and a niece along with 6 great nephews and 5 great nieces.

A viewing will be held at Shannon Funeral Chapel Rufe Snow from 6-8pm on Wednesday, January 10th. The funeral will take place at 11am at Shannon Funeral Chapel Rufe Snow on Thursday, January 11th with the burial immediately following at Smithfield Cemetery in North Richland Hills.
