Rob dedicated his life to Christ at the age of 10, and was baptized at Baptista Church. He went on to graduate from Bell High School, Class of 2001, where he played saxophone in the marching band, and was designated a National Merit Scholar. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Texas Christian University in 2008. He later felt the calling toward the medical field and returned to school to earn his degree in Nursing from North Lake Community College in 2014.
He held many different jobs over the years, including General Motors for two summers, Trulux and Perry’s Steak House. He found his life’s passion as an ER Trauma nurse, working at Charlton, Hughley and Baylor hospitals. His warmth and caring was always obvious to his patients.
He loved to learn, and his red Z28 and silver BMW. He also enjoyed music, woodworking and was building his own guitar from scratch.
He married Tyfanie Cook Biggs, and cherishes his two beautiful daughters from that union. He was engaged to Kasey Wells, and they were planning their wedding for October 10, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernie and John Biggs and grandfather James Bolen.
He is survived by his daughters Blair Elaine Biggs (5) and Bonnie Lynn Biggs (4); his parents; brother Derek James Biggs, his wife Kathleen and their daughter Emma; sisters Jill Biggs and Lisa Biggs Spaulding and her husband Keelan; grandparents Rosa Bolen and James Yates; fiancé Kasey Wells; nieces and nephews Jaycee, Katelyn, Madison, Brant, Hannah and Allison; as well as countless other family members and friends who are left to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, 9/20, from 6-8 p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. The funeral service be on Saturday, 9/21, at 10:00 with Pastor Ronnie Travis officiating, also at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
