Regina’s Life Story
Regina Denise James was born on July 20, 1962 in Fort Worth, TX to the parents of Nathaniel and Mary D James. She was also warmly welcomed by her sisters, Marva and Pearl Lewis and Brenda and Deborah James.
Regina began her education in the Ogden, Utah School System and later the Fort Worth Independent School District, graduating from Easter Hills High School in 1980, where she was a member of the marching band. Regina received her Associate Degree from Compton College in Los Angeles California. She also was first runner-up in the Ms. Black Texas.
Due to her health challenges, she retired from American Airlines (AA) Customer Service in 2004. While at AA she was able to travel to many places. Cruising was also one of her pleasures and her daughter made sure she had a good time.
Regina accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifetime member of the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the young adult choir, Ebenezer Mass Choir and Inspirational Praise Choirs, youth director and a representative for the Texas Baptist Missionary Convention. Regina was also active in the coordination of her annual High Family Reunion, serving in any capacity she could whether it was moderating the games such as Bingo or being an Emcee of the family talent show. She also was a volunteer for the Stop Six Senior Center at Brighter Outlook, where she would fellowship with senior citizens.
To know her was to love her, she was quite the conversationist. Her main hobbies were shopping at the thrift store, organizing spaces and making sure her bags were loaded with WHATEVER anyone might need.
Regina had endless love for God and her children, James, Jocelyn and Jordan. She was a true football mom and an active leader for several community teams, include Stop Six Blue Cats and the Handley Falcons.
On Friday, November 4th, Regina Denise James answered the God’s call and transitioned from this earth. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary D. James, Nathaniel James Jr. and brother Michael James.
Left to cherish her legacy and love are: her children, James Ashely Rollerson (Fort Worth) daughter Jocelyn Arshawn Rollerson (Dallas), Jordan Albert Rollerson (Pasadena, CA.), grandchildren Jaymron A. Rollerson, Sanaa Mcleaveland, and Jaxon A. Rollerson.
Sisters: Marva Nella Lewis, LaPearl Lewis, Brenda James and Deborah James. Nieces and nephews: Antoinette White, Tami Lewis, Roman Lewis, Chanda Hilliard, Brian James, Brandon James, Justin James, Kouri Simmons, Chanel Lewis, Daniel Lewis, Payton Lewis, Tristan Lewis, Saige Lewis and many other relatives and friends.
