Goodbye, Dear Ray,
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our friend, Ray Landy.  He was a caring and loving gentleman who was a role model to many as he sought to impart a sense of fairness and justice to every situation.  We honor the legacy he established for the Youth Orchestra through many years of service.  He and Betty were tireless in their support for the Youth Orchestra and the FW Symphony.  HIs smile speaks for itself--such a loving man.  And, to Libby, we are proud of you for carrying on the Youth Orchestra tradition as you continue your professional musical activities.  Keep the music playing for our young and deserving youth.

My deepest condolences. While it has been many years since I last saw your dad, Libby, he was always so welcoming and kind to me. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ray was more than a next door neighbor to the Felfe family. He was part of our extended family! From my earliest memory as a small child in 1966 when he assisted my parents by tending to my wounds after I had been in a serious accident, to my last memory of him waiting patiently with me at the DFW airport when the airline had lost my return tickets back home to Germany, he was the neighbor who our family could always rely on in any moment of need. Whether by lending a helping hand, feeding our pets, driving us to the airport, looking in on our father in his last years, or offering kind words and moral support, Ray was always there for us without hesitation in times of need for over 50 years. 
He was an integral part of our lives as a close family friend, in the neighborhood, at church, and in the Westworth community, even stopping by at Christmas to take our family photo for us. 
He was my dad's best friend and like a protective uncle to me. Always kind, soft-spoken, reliable, fair, impeccably moral and honest, he was truly a great role model and I will always cherish the example he set.
