R Ted Anthony

Ted Anthony was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Eva Margaret Hazelwood and Rex Kephart Anthony on August 26, 1932. He graduated in 1950 from Des Moines Technical High School majoring in Air Craft Mechanics. He also attended the University of Iowa. He joined the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Japan and later in the Philippines doing aircraft mechanics. Later he graduated from The University of Texas branch of Arlington, Texas. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History.

He settled in Fort Worth, Texas where he met Janice Farrar and they married and had a daughter Tijuana Rene Anthony. He later got a divorce and after several years married Barbara Braflat Lund. He got a divorce and met Linda Diane Jenkins on a blind date and were married 2 months later, and it lasted 44+ years till his death from Leukemia.

They hosted exchange students Dr. Gilia Mirand Orellano from Arico, Chile. Next Adriana de Broux Maia from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Dr. Timo Jasko Heikkinen from Dulu, Finland. Dr. Anette Andresen from Niebull, Germany.

Ted was active in Civil Air Patrol in Des Moines, Iowa. Later he served as an Arbitrotsr for the Auto Line for the Better Business Bureau. He was a member of the FWISD special education advisory committee. He was a member of the Hudson Club, Cowtown Vettes, Adopting Children Together Support Group.

Ted is survived by his wife Linda Diane Jenkins Anthony, daughter Tijuana Rene Anthony Fields (Bob) of Sunset Beach, Texas, Anna Elizabeth Anthony Johnson (Joshua) of Corpus Christi. Charles Christopher ANthony, Catherine Michelle Anthony, Patricia Suzanne Anthony Davidson (Travis), Alexander Karalius Anthony, Timothy Justus Anthony, grandchildren; Dr. Meagan Anthony, Ella Rose Johnson of Corpus Christi, and baby girl Johnson.

Ted worked at Howell Instruments, Inc. for 39 years. Ted had a medicine dog, a teacup chihuahua Lolita "Lola" that was always beside him.

A visitation for R Ted Anthony will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas.

A funeral service for R Ted Anthony will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas.

A committal service for R Ted Anthony will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas.
