Patricia Ann Gallaway

Visitation will be at 9:30 am on Thursday June 1, 2023, at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 10:00 am with Bishop T.C McIntire officiating.Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park.

Patricia was born in Grapevine, TX to George and Mary Taylor on February 5th, 1955. She went to school at Richland High School in North Richland Hills,TX. She married Robin Gallaway July 30, 1973, in Grapevine,TX. Soon afterwards they welcomed daughter, Laurie Ann Gallaway and son, Robin Landon Gallaway. Pat worked as a hair stylist and homemaker.

Patricia (Patty as she was known by most of her family and friends) was very creative and artistic. She was a talented quilter, painter and enjoyed making ceramics. She was a member of several quilting groups. On one occasion, she once was trying to convince Kollyns’s grandmother, Vicki to go on a quilting retreat with her, but Vicki was not so sure. Patty told her “They treat you just like a man, you sew, they ring the bell when the food is ready, you get up and eat, and when you’re finished you just leave the dishes for them to clean up…just like a man.” That totally convinced Vicki and they had a wonderful time together.

Patty was a shopaholic, and her family would often lose sight of her in the stores within about 30 seconds of arrival. She was so tiny; they could never find her. Laurie told me that that if Shopping was an Olympic event, her mom would win the Gold. But Patty loved buying gifts for her family, friends, and neighbors. Giving was her love language.

Patty was a talker and never met a stranger. She was a follower of Christ and a member of Diamond Oaks Worship Center and never missed an opportunity to share her love for Christ.

Patty loved her family, especially her grandbabies. They ruled the roost.

She loved the holidays,no matter how bad she felt,she always made every effort to be there and always had a positive attitude and smile to share. She was a fighter and never gave up.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father George Taylor and her sister Pamela Baker.

Patricia is survived by husband Robin Gallaway. Children Laurie Skinner and Landon Gallaway. Brothers Gary Taylor and wife Glenda and Tom Taylor and wife Sheri. Mother Mary Taylor. Grandchildren Peyton Skinner, Presley Skinner and Kollyns Gallaway and several nieces and nephews.

She will be missed and loved forever.
