Ann was the third of five children born to Cecil and Opal Porter on October 9, 1931. She married Bob Brosius on May 16, 1952 and gave birth to her only son, Danny, on January 20, 1954. Danny married Terri in 1978, and soon after, Ann became “Grandmother” (because she was too sophisticated to be “Grandma”).
Grandmother was our biggest supporter, ringing her cowbell loud and proud at our sporting events. She was our shopping buddy, our encourager, our refuge. She was our guidance and inspiration.
Grandmother was a true servant of the Lord. Throughout her life she helped start churches, led worship, and taught Sunday School. She was active in Bible Study Fellowship and loved being a part of the PraiSingers.
Grandmother was a prayer warrior. Even when the Alzheimer’s disease began to affect her brain, Grandmother’s heart remained steadfast in the promises of the Lord, and she continued to selflessly pray for others.
Grandmother was a blessing to every life she touched and will be greatly missed.
