Winfred Tolouis Smith at the age of 62 left for his heavenly home on Thursday, November 29, 2018. The Celebration of his life will be on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 1188 W. Broad St. Mansfield, Texas. Dr. Michael A. Evans, Sr. Pastor. Visitation: Friday from2:00 PMto 8 PM at the church and the Family Hour will be from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Church. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Winfred leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife. Belinda Smith; children, Temeka Glover and husband Derrick, Durande' Smith and wife Nicole, Kristian Smith and Brandon Lawson and wife Kaneli; brother, Therman Smith; sisters, Patricia Armstrong, Beverly Brooks and Janice Williams; 8 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Winfred was a graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in the class of 1974-Wildcats. He continued his education at the University of Texas at Arlington – UTA. In 1984, he married his “baby”, Belinda J. Lawson. To this union, there was one bouncing baby boy, Kristian T. Smith. At a young age, he professed a hope in Christ. He joined Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the Rev. Frank Turner. After Rev. Turner passed, Rev. Joe Foster became the pastor. Later after his marriage, he joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church under Rev. C. D. Sammons. After his departure, his pastor was Dr. M.A. Evans, Sr. Winfred was a faithful choir member and he continued to serve the seniors and whoever was in need. One of his passions was cooking for people, especially, those individuals at the Arlington Life Shelter.Winfred Tolouis Smith was born to the late Willie T. Smith and Lula Mae Collins Smith in Fort Worth, Texas. He was employed with Sante' Fe Railroad until 1986.
