Mary Lynne Sexton

Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2023 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home in Ft. Worth followed immediately by funeral services there at 12 pm. Bro Larry Talbert of Westside Baptist Church in Corsicana will officiate. Burial will follow at the Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mary Lynne was born in Ft. Worth, Texas to “Bill” William Roy Sexton and Dorothy Irene Cantrell Sexton on May 17, 1957. She went to school at Sagamore Hill and graduated in special education program at Riverside High School, May 31, 1978. Mary Lynne loved going to church and loved to sing hymns. “How Great Thou Art” was her favorite and she sang it solo at church at least once. She loved her stuffed animals, each having a name and a special place on her bed. She also loved going to work at the Texas Rehab “Day Hab” in Corsicana.

Mary Lynne is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Dorothy Irene Sexton, and her beloved father, William Roy Sexton.

Mary Lynne is survived by her brother, “Billy” William Howard Sexton of Dickinson, TX, her sisters Jeanne Gail Sexton Daily of Arlington TX, Valarie Ann Sexton Barker of Krum, TX, and Barbara Janette Sexton Sivils of Corsicana, TX, as well as numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Memorials may be given to Westside Baptist Church in Corsicana, TX.

The family of Mary Lynne, wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Jackie, Mekenzie, Cathy, and all of the staff of the TR/Day Break group home where Mary Lynne resided, The Day Hab, and to her nurses, Heidi, Connie, and Miranda who took wonderful care of her over the years.
