Linton GREEN, age 94, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Linton was born September 18, 1926. Linton was a member of the American Legion Post 839. Past Master of the Pride of the South Lodge No. 324 F..A.M.P.H.A. where he served as secretary for over 30 years. The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas has named The State Secretary of The Year Award in honor of Linton, "The Linton Green Secretary Award". The Masonic has also named a scholarship in his honor. "The Gaston-Green Scholarship". Linton is known as a Rock Star in the Masonic World. Linton loved the Lord. He was a member of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church for 51 years. There he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, member of the Brotherhood and was a member of the Hands 2 Heart Ministry. Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church acknowledged Linton with Certificates and Awards for being a dedicated servant.
Linton was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Aldora Green, his wife Dorothy Marie Green, grandson Kyle Montgomery, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He leaves to mourn his passing his six children; Karen Green, Gail Jenkins (Michael), Linton Green, Jr., Michael Green (Rodena), Gloria Green and Anthony Green. Ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grand children; sixteen great-great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends.
