Linda Ann Young Glazier passed away peacefully on February 24, 2023 while in hospice care after a brief illness. Her family is grateful to Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth for their gentle and loving care.
Memorials: in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: Boys Ranch ( founded by Cal Farley) or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These were the long time favored charities of Linda.
Linda was born March 19, 1935 in Hill county Texas. She was the only child to Dewey Nelson and Mary Jane Young. She loved growing up on the farm and in the small town of Bynum. Linda graduated from Bynum High School and soon set out on her own in Waco. It was in Waco where she met an airman, Glenn Glazier, from Ohio who was stationed at James Connolly Air Force Base in Waco upon his return from service in the Korean War. They soon married and began their sixty year marriage in Houston. Early in her husband’s career and after stops in Oklahoma City and Chicago, Linda and Glenn moved to Fort Worth where they raised their two children. Linda enjoyed volunteering at her children’s schools and working at various Sears locations throughout Fort Worth.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and husband Glenn Survivors include daughter Dianna Adamek and husband John of Fort Worth; son, Don Glazier and wife Amy of Plano; grandchildren, Stephen Adamek of Fort Worth, Michael Glazier and wife Caroline of McKinney, Maggie Falk and husband Ben of Plano; great grandchildren Eleanor and Annie Glazier; and many very special nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
A graveside service for Linda will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
