Kenneth was born in Ruston, Louisiana on August 20, 1937, to George L Mabry, Jr., and Marjorie Haughton Mabry. Ken grew up in Ruston, graduating from Ruston High School in 1955, working at and residing at Ruston Fire Station for several years and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech in 1959. Ken was Engineering Chief of Structural Design at General Dynamics (Later Lockheed Martin), a member of design teams for B-58, F-111 and F-16 aircraft, retiring in 1992, after 33 years of employment.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Melvin Lee Mabry, wife Theresa McMichael Mabry and wife Betty Ball Mabry. Kenneth is survived by a sister, Juanita Smith and husband Hollis “Marty” Smith of Valparaiso, FL, a brother, Burton Mabry and Shirley Mabry of Winter Garden, FL, children Monica Fehse and husband Roy, Michael Mabry and wife Sharron and Marsha Mabry of Burleson, TX, Marian Harris and husband Kevin of Tioga, TX, Michelle (Micki) Zint and husband Ronald of Hillsboro TX, Marjorie McKnight and husband Michael of Brighton, CO, and Marla Kassen and husband, Alan of Valley View, TX. He was “Papaw” to 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, enjoying listening to, but not participating in, the large and usually loud family gatherings. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards and puzzles, eating spicy food, especially Cajun and was a great role model at work and home. He will be greatly missed.
