The family will gather for a Memorial Service on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 11:00a.m. at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. They will receive guests starting at 10:30a.m.
Kathy graduated from Keller High School in 1971 and married her husband, Gary soon after. After short travels to South Texas and Alabama, she and Gary moved back to Fort Worth and raised their two daughters in the Watauga area and have enjoyed seeing them grow into parents of their own. She adored her grandchildren and found joy in spoiling them with shopping trips, ice cream stocked in the freezer, grilled cheese sandwiches cut diagonally, and elaborate Christmases. After retirement, Kathy enjoyed the down time that allowed her to travel, spend time with her flowers, bird watching, and extra time with family and friends. Kathy in her generosity, even in the end wanted to help others and was an organ donor. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend will be dearly missed.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Pleasant and Mary Jo Casteel, as well as her two brothers, Max and David Casteel.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gary; her daughters, Kimberlee and Jodie; six grandchildren, Victoria, Kaden, Kaity, Bailey, Bryson, and Tuff; sisters, JoAnn, Frances, Wanda, Janie, BJ, and Ruthy, many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law, and numerous other relatives and friends.
