Jerry Ray Williams

Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Interment: 2:15 p.m. Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Jerry was born Sept. 29, 1942, to Cleo and Ranzy Williams in Clarksville. He graduated from Trenton High School and joined the Navy in 1961. He served for 30 years retiring as a master chief in 1991. During his military career he received many commendations, including the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation medal and the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement medal.

After retirement he worked 17 years at Aero Components as production manager. He married Lea Johnson on Dec. 8, 1977. Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Williams and Joe Williams.

Survivors: He is survived by wife, Lea; children, Lynn Hawkins and husband, Randall, Larry Williams and wife, Carla, Sharon Richardson, Lora Dawson and husband, Kurt; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Jon Williams of Colleyville and Don Williams of Sherman.
