Jerry Wayne “Grampe” Bolton, 76, of Justin, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2023. He was born July 4, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late William Carroll Thompson and Alma Jane Bolton.
Jerry served in The United States Navy from 1963 to 1971 on the USS Corry and the USS John F. Kennedy as a Plankowner. He went on to attend and receive his electrical degree from Tarrant County College. Jerry went on to work for Container Corporation of America for 14 years, before working for Bell Helicopter Textron for 28 years until he retired in 2011. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and The American Legion.
Jerry loved having a garden and growing all kinds of things, including ghost peppers. He had a witty sense of humor and was always planning and carrying out great pranks of all kinds. He loved his family the most.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Minnie and Ila, and brothers, Melvin and Alvin.
He is survived by his daughters, Christy Strealy and her husband, Stacy, and Teresa Loschiavo; granddaughters, Kyler, Kammi, and April; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for Jerry will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel and Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112. A committal service will occur Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 0700 - Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
