Jeffery January Jr.

Jeff was born on May 16, 1992, in Flint, Michigan where he spent some of his early years. At the age of ten, Jeff and his family, Auburney January (sister), India Urquhart (mother), and Jeffrey Duane January Sr. (father), moved to Phoenix, Arizona. The family relocated to Ft. Worth, TX in 2005 when Jeff was fourteen years old. Jeff completed his high school education at Saginaw High School. During his time in Texas, he was able to pursue multiple hobbies that included a variety of sports and his interest in music. Jeff became a devoted father after his son Jeremiah Duane January was born, shared with Toyelle Thomas, and was a father figure for his son’s siblings, Hannah and Taylor, whom he cared deeply for.

Family and friends who knew Jeff knew that he was a compassionate and gentle soul who had the power to brighten any room with laughter and smiles. He was always there to provide a listening ear and brought an amazing calmness and peace with him wherever he went. Jeff could leave an everlasting impression on everyone he met and was able to create many friends. Some of the relationships he formed were so powerful that “friendship” just isn't enough to describe it, and he considered his closest friends his brothers and a part of his family too. Jeff had many hobbies and interests, but there is nothing he treasured more than his relationship with his son and being the best father that he could be. Jeff had a special role in so many lives and will be missed more than words can express.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Jeffery January Sr. and India Urquhart; his sisters, Auburney January and Tanisha January; his son Jeremiah January; his maternal grandparents, Duane Xavier Urquhart and Australia Tarver Urquhart; his paternal grandparents, Artie Faye January, John B and Caroline January; his great grandmother, Jessie Ford; his aunt and uncles, Daryl Urquhart, DuJuan Urquhart, Sherri and Robert Morgan, Charles and Mixie January; John and Dorothy January and many treasured cousins and friends.
