James E. Taylor was born November 21,1946 in Washington County, Texas to the parentage of the late George Taylor and Bernice Lathan. He was the oldest son of four. James attended the Fort Worth ISD starting with Dunbar Elementary, Riverside Elementary, then to I.M. Terrell High School.
During the summer months he could work as a caddy to earn money until he reached the age to obtain a job. He worked at the Hotel Texas in downtown Fort Worth and was one of the banquet service worker that severed John F, Kennedy before going to Dallas, TX.
He met a former school mate Vickie Webb and they were married and had one son: James E. Jr. James was a man of many virtues; he worked for Bell Helicopter then he went to Lockheed Martin retiring after many years. Enjoyed the game of golf and most sports and was a die heart "Tiger Woods" fan. Special thanks to Tiffany Taylor one of his nieces that took care of him to the end.
James was an active member of the YMCA and loved playing "Bingo and advent "Golf". On Sunday, October 13, 2024 he closed his eyes and took the hand that took him to a better place of "peace" with his father: George Taylor, his mother Benice, one brother Joe Nathan, and two sisters Willie Mae and Georgie, along with his nephews: Reginald, Melvin, and Ronald.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his son James Jr.; 2 sisters, Ella and Mary; 2 brothers, George Jr. and Nathaniel; several nieces and nephews, and many cousins in the Fort Worth/Dallas/Houston/Washington County, TX area.
