Visitation & Celebration of Life will be from 4 to 7 PM, Wednesday, February 8th at Shannon Rose Hill.
Masonic Graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, February 9th at Shannon Rose Hill.
Alton was born in Hill County, TX to James M. & Alma J. Anderson on September 11, 1938. He went to school at Poly High School Proud Class of 1958. He married Ann Travis on October 19, 1958 in Oklahoma.
Alton began his career in insurance in 1963 with National Life & Accident and in 1972 started working for American Health and Accident. Throughout his career he earned numerous honors, awards, and trips including Canada and Hawaii. Alton and Ann opened their own agency in 1982 as the Alton Anderson Agency. In 1986 the agency became Texas American Agency.
Alton was involved in many organizations including: Handley Lodge No. 1140, Moslah Shrine Center, Moslah Motor Corps where he served as President in 1999 and Colonel in 2002, and was a member of The Royal Order of Jesters Court 32. He was also a member of the Breakfast Optimist Club of East Fort Worth.
Some of his favorite interests were: motorcycles, drag racing, traveling, and music where he and Ann supported the Johnnie High Country Music Review for many years. His favorite interest, however, was his family!
Alton is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Alex Christian.
Alton is survived by his wife Ann, children Cathy Anderson, Tracy Mills (Jon), Donna Anderson, Cindy Christian (Larry), grandchildren (Josh, Roxie, Daniel, Kayla, Brent, Zoe, Jayce, Silver, Michael) and great-grand children (Jack, Emery, Zoey, Gage, Olivia, Colt), sister-in-law Fay Greer, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and son-in-laws.
