Gerald and Shirley Sloan

Shirley and Jerry are survived by their children: Rozanne Gann and her husband Dick, Danny Fowler, Sandi Roux and her husband Bob, Gregg Sloan, and Shannon O’Connor; grandchildren: Holly Watson and her husband Jason, Grant Gann and his wife Babette, Lacy Bennett and her husband Daniel, Dylan Fowler, Annie and Madeline Roux, and Siler and Seth O’Connor, Hunter, Carter and Garrett Sloan; great-grandchildren: Zachary and Rook Watson, Emma Bennett, and Smith and Charley Gann, and numerous other family members and friends.

Shirley was born October 24, 1935 in Fort Worth, Texas. She married Charlie Lewis Fowler on February 6, 1953. They had 3 children and enjoyed 40 happy years before Charlie passed away from illness.

Jerry was born April 24, 1928 in Winters, Texas. He was in the US Navy and served on the USS Springfield CL 66 as a fireman 1C. He married Shannon Gregg on June 20, 1954. They had 2 children and enjoyed 41 happy years before Shannon passed away from illness.

Jerry and Shirley married on July 10, 1998 and were married for almost 21 years. They enjoyed holidays and spending time with their large blended family, loved worshiping God, and cherished spending time with their good friends Don and Janet Webb.

They will be missed by numerous friends and family whom they had many cherished memories with.

Visitation: Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service: 11am Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Legacy Church of Christ. Shirley will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Thursday, after the funeral service. Jerry will be laid to rest at 2 pm on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Gray Cemetery, outside of San Saba, Texas.
