Fred graduated from St. Mary High School and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kent State and Masters in Political Science from Southern Methodist University.
He was married to Marian (Tomazic) on June 11, 1966. Fred worked for various Federal Government agencies for over 50 years before retiring in June 2019. He enjoyed playing racquetball, country western dancing, traveling to visit family and friends in Ohio, collecting assorted “pig” mementos and maintaining his cars, particularly his 1968 Pontiac. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending many of their activities.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Marian of 55 years; daughters Donna Eason and Lisa Tumlinson (Jeff) both of Fort Worth; 5 grandchildren Tiffanie, Crystal (Zach), Chance (Jessica), Ashley and Taylor; 7 great grandchildren Bryson, Landry, Madison, Lily, Camden, Logan, and Elliott; 2 sisters Frances Smith (Bevan) and Mary Jo Duffy from Ohio; 2 brothers Robert from Ohio and Michael from California; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie Montalto.
