Fred Raymond Beck passed away on November 13, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born December 20, 1934 in Haslet, Texas, and lived most of his life there. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1953 and married the love of his life, Mary Delle, in October 1956. Fred was drafted into the US Army in July, 1957 and was stationed at Fort Mead, MD, Fort Caffey, CO, Fort Sill, OK, and Fort Smith, AR. After discharge from the Army, Daddy worked at the General Motors Assembly Plant in Arlington, Texas for 35 years.
Fred was loved by many people. He was a devout Christian and attended Haslet Baptist Church with his family for many years. He was a generous man and loved his family with passion. Fred was the picture of kindness, compassion, loyalty, and love for others.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Beck and Bertha Beck, and his loving wife, Mary Delle Beck. Survivors are children Susan and husband Charley of Trophy Club, Texas; Debbie and husband Ron of Del Rio, Texas; Douglas and wife Sonnie, of Dorchester, Texas. Grandchildren are Hillary, Hannah, and MaryDelle Dobson; Kaleb, Josh, Mikal Ann, and Ashlyn Beck, and one great grandchild, Emerson Witt.
Family welcomes visitors on Sunday from 2-4 at Shannon’s Funeral Home on Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, Texas. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Aurora Baptist Church, Aurora, Texas and will be conducted by Pastor Jimmy Withers.
