Evalyn was born in Penelope, Texas to Gay Stokes and John Lewis Goldsmith. She worked in the cotton fields with her dad and brother Jack. She used money she earned to buy school clothes. She also sewed clothes for her mother and sisters. Evalyn moved to Fort Worth after graduating from high school in west Texas. She worked at Williams-Jenkins and later went on to work at the Dairy Queen Association for over 30 years where she retired from in 1997. Evalyn married Robert Glen Moore, Sr. when she was 19 years old. They had three sons, Robert, Johnny and Mark. After Robert passed away she later married Blondie Steryl Malone with whom she was married until his death. She loved flowers and plants and her dog Buddy, whom she has had for 14 years. Evayln always loved to talk about the old days of cotton picking and Dairy Queen stories. She lived her family and friends and will be sorely missed.
Evalyn was preceded in death by her parents John and Gay Goldsmith, sister Louvenia Goldsmith, brother Jack Goldsmith,her husbands Robert G. Moore, Sr. and Blondie Steryl Malone, her son, Mark Moore and a grandson Brent Andrew Moore.
Survivors: sisters, Loreta Sulak of Waco and Kanova Jones and husband Jerry of McGregor; sons, Robert Glen Moore, Jr. and wife Anita and Johnny Albert Moore and wife Linda; grandchildren, Thomas Glen Moore and wife Lisa, Ruth Rye and husband David, Terry Moore and wife Megan, Mike Moore, and John Moore Jr.; 19 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
