Elaine Gordon Jones

Elaine was born June 25, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to the parents of Elijah Anderson and Dollie Roxie Gordon. As an adult Elaine lived in multiply cities before settling in Fort Worth, Texas where she worked for Tandy Corporation as switchboard operator until she retired.

Elaine’s greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed family, friends listening to music, playing games, reading and cooking.

Elaine was preceded in death by her father, mother, grandparents, Horace Gordon, Nicie Brown, Oscar and Malinda Anderson, brother Elijah Anderson Jr and sister Doris Heard.

Among those who love and cherish memories of her are her sons: Christopher Jones and Derrick Jones, her daughters Kecia Jones and Deatra Jones all of Fort Worth, Texas. Vanessa Guy of Montclair, California. Four brothers: Jonathan Anderson and Bishop Johnny (Annie) Brown all of Blytheville, Arkansas, Lawrence (Alberta) Anderson of Colorado Spring, Colorado, Ralph (JaQueline) Anderson of Joiner, Arkansas. Sister Joann (Lonniel) Morris of Summit, Illinois. Two granddaughters: Breanna Elise Jones, Bailee Arianna Jones, One grandson: Brandon David Jones all of Fort Worth, Texas. Four great-grandchildren; Aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
