Douglas N Hood, 77, Fort Worth Texas, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020. He was born in Gary Indiana on March 21, 1943. He was married to Cora Hood, the love of his life, on November 2, 1996, in Las Vegas. Doug had a career as a traffic manager for Mrs. Baird’s bakery and was a member of Texas Motor Transportation Association. He had a passion for woodworking, flowers, trains and cars.
He is preceded in death by his father Oscar L.Hood, his mother Lillian Hood, and his brother Dave Hood.
He was survived by his wife Cora Hood, son Jeffery Hood, daughter Melanie Messenheimer, and his son-in-law Paul Messenheimer. His grandchildren Christopher Hood, Macayla Messenheimer, and Noah Messenheimer.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10 AM, September 22 in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be September 21 from 6pm to 8pm.
