Danny O. Barnett

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. Laurel Land Memorial Park, Ft. Worth, Texas.

Danny was born in Fort Worth, Texas, April 26, 1939, to Euell Odell Barnett, and Adna Mae Atkins Barnett, both deceased.

Danny was a long time Dairy Farmer on his farm near Hico, Texas in Hamilton County. Danny was also a truck driver for Cardinal Logistics before retiring in 2013. Danny was very proud of his role as a father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his devoted family. Danny graduated from Fort Worth Paschal High School in 1957.

Danny married Sandra Doggett, of Crowley, Texas, January 2, 1960 and they raised their 4 children on the Dairy near Olin. Danny loved going to Rodeos and watching his daughter, Sherri, and granddaughter Kodie, compete in Barrel Racing. In retirement Danny raised a few calves and goats, played with his dogs, and loved to go to local livestock auctions. Danny was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Cleburne.

Danny is survived by daughter, Deborah and husband, Dale; granddaughter, Lacey Richardson, grandson, Matthew Walker, grandson, Zachary Walker; daughter, Sherri Carroll and husband, Clifford; grandson, Bodie Carroll, granddaughter, Kodie Sageser; son, Danny Justin Barnett, grandson, Trenton Barnett; daughter, Cinda Armstrong and husband, Dustin; grandson, Donovann Armstrong, granddaughter, Dominique Armstrong, granddaughter, Donnica Armstrong; sister, Peggy Pettigrew, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Walker, Zachary Walker, Jay Richardson, Bodie Carroll, Drew Sageser, Trenton Barnett, and Donovann Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1200 W. Kilpatrick St., Cleburne, Texas 76033.

The Family expresses their sincere thanks to the staff at Hamilton General Hospital, Hico Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Elara Hospice for Danny's care in his final days.
