Daniel was born in Hickory North Carolina to Samuel & Gladys Moore on April 29, 1942. Danny Moore graduated from Camden County High School in June of 1960. He was one of the classmates that all looked up to for his leadership skills. His senior year, his classmates voted him to be the President of the Class. Giving him the charter to work all the senior functions that year. In addition, he and a small group of seniors developed the class motto: BE STEADY, WORK HARD, THE FUTURE IS IN OUR HANDS. As a final testament to his leadership, the entire school THE MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED.
Following graduation, Danny decided to join the Air Force stationed at Biloxi, Ms. `
. He joined the USAF after high school; he served in the Vietnam War & had a 21-year career before he retired. Afterwards Daniel worked for 13 years at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, & during this time he also went on to earn a degree from Tarrant County College before starting his 3rd retirement after ending his 15 year career at United States Postal Service.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 51 years Darunee Moore from Thailand, Son Gene Moore, wife Jessica of Allen, son James Moore, wife Nicci of Ft Worth, sister Dorothy Fromel, husband Dale of Redding Ca. Daniel had 7 grandchildren who he had a special affection for, often joining their playtime antics as the 'big bad wolf.'
Close friends and family remember Daniel as a devoted family man, known for his honesty, strong work ethic, and reliability. Those familiar with him also recognize his love for Jeff Dunham and his enjoyment of bowling when he was not watching Jeopardy or the Wheel of Fortune. A natural teacher with extensive knowledge and intelligence, Daniel had an intriguing story for every topic.
Daniel's legacy will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by both friends and family.
