Charles "Butch" Dominick Mauppin Sr.

Charles Dominick "Butch" Mauppin Sr., born on July 27, 1955, in La Rochelle, France, passed away on July 3, 2024. He was the beloved son of JoAnn and the late Charles Mauppin. Butch is survived by his loving wife, Susan Mauppin; his children, Dominick Mauppin (girlfriend Amber Davis), Alex Mauppin (wife Jennifer Mauppin); and his cherished grandchildren, Chase, Madison, and Kennedy Mauppin. He is also survived by his mother, JoAnn Mauppin; his sister, Pam (husband Casey Wallace); and his brother, Michael Mauppin. He was predeceased by his father, Charles Mauppin, and his brother, John Mauppin. Butch leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews, and 6 great-nieces and nephews.

Butch was an extraordinary carpenter who started his own business and was known for his craftsmanship. He had a passion for NASCAR, attending as many events as he could. Above all, Butch loved his family and extended family deeply, always willing to lend a helping hand. He never met a stranger and was known for his loyalty and kindness.

Thank you all for the love and support over the past week and a half since my father passed away. The phone calls and text messages to me, my brother and especially my mother have been overwhelming during this difficult time. We are very appreciative of each and every one of you.

As a family we have decided to have funeral services and a celebration of life for Charles “Butch” Mauppin on what would have been his 69th birthday, Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm.
