ZACK NATHANIEL DENNIS, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016. Born April 12, 1929, in Wickliffe, Ky., he was the son of the late Zack and Fairy Dennis. Zack served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War in which he was wounded and honorably discharged in 1956. He is survived by his sons, Carl (Julie) Dennis Sr. and Carl Dennis Jr.; daughters, Roberta (Stephen) DeBolt and Renee (David) Peaster; five grandchildren, and 12 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Dennis; and son, Ernie Dennis. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
