William R. O'Dell Sr.

William R. O’Dell Sr., 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Kingston at Dupont. He was born on December 10, 1941 in Beacon, New York to the late William H. and Viola (Peterson) O’Dell. He married Dodie Myers on November 12, 1965. Mr. O’Dell worked for National Bank and Trust and PNC formerly known as Fort Wayne National Bank. William was a member of Countryside Church of Christ, Optimist Club, Lions Club, Boys and Girls Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed Bowling, even bowling a perfect game, golfing, being outdoors; but most of all loved his wife and family, especially being a grandpa. He is survived by his wife, Dodie O’Dell; children, Renee O’Dell, Melissa O’Dell, William R. (Stephanie) O’Dell Jr., Joseph (Jynette) O’Dell; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brothers, James "Jimmy" Douglas O'Dell, Peter Leon O’Dell and Michael Allen O’Dell. Also preceding him in death by a grandson, Myquayle Prince; a sister, Barbara Ann Lee; and a brother, David Bruce O’Dell. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 9, 2022 at 12 PM at Countryside Church of Christ, 14314 Hurshtown Road, Grabill. Calling will be two hours before the service at the church.
