Susan Eileen Modezjewski

Susan E. Modezjewski (Hardiek), 69, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Sunday July 14th, 2024. Born on October 19, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Beryl (Wilson) Hardiek. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and tending to her flowers and home. She loved to laugh, share lunch at El Azteca, and spend time with her daughters and grandchildren. Sue is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Richard) Greene of Wolcottville, and Sara Chaney of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Samantha Baker, Anna Greene, Julia (Alec) Lomont, and Nicholas Chaney; sisters Ann (Aaron) Arnold, Julianne Wyatt, and Jane (Rick) Lizotte. Sue was proceeded in death by her husband John of 40 years; brothers Jim Goshorn, John Hardiek, Tom Hardiek, Dennis Hardiek, and Bill Hardiek; sisters Jean Myers and Beryl Winant. A celebration of life will be July 23, 2024 from 4-8 pm at C.M. Sloans & Sons Funeral Home 1327 N Wells St. Fort Wayne, IN 46808. A service will be led by Pastor John Blair at 7:30 pm.
