Steven Grimes

Steven Grimes, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Bethlehem Woods with the love of his life at his side. He was born February 26, 1953 in Huntington. He served his country as a U. S. Marine from 1972 to 1974. He retired from Global Tool and Automation. After retirement he had worked at Menards. He was a member of American Legion Post 499 and the Fort Wayne Corvette Club. His favorite pastime was enjoying the outdoors and his pool, along with spending time with his wife Lynn. Surviving are his loving wife, Lynn Grimes of Fort Wayne; mother, Phyllis Grimes of Huntington; father and mother in law, Jerry and Joyce Springer of Auburn; and sister in law, Amie Bauman of Auburn. Preceding him in death was his father, Robert J. Grimes. A time of visitation and gathering to share memories will take place Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with Military Honors at 8 PM. In Lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.
