Stephen W. Kovacs

Stephen W. Kovacs, 57, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 7, 1955 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Stephen S. and Benita (Hutchinson) Kovacs. He was a 1973 graduate of Northrop High School. He was a machine operator until 2012 at Rea Magnet Wire, working for 38 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife Lynn of which one of his favorite places was Las Vegas. He loved the Chicago Bears and NASCAR, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a member of the IUE-CWA # 84963. Surviving are his wife, Lynn Kovacs of Fort Wayne; son, Jason W. (Kim) Kovacs of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Dylan James Kovacs and Kira Elise Kovacs; brothers, James Kovacs and David Kovacs; sister, Barbara Nelson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation one hour prior. Friend and coworker, Elder David Page to officiate. Visitation will also be on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
