Shirley J. Myers
30 julio , 1938 – 1 junio , 2024
EN EL CUIDADO DE
C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home
Shirley Jean Sweet Myers, age 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. She was born on a farm outside of Woodburn, Indiana on July 30, 1938, she was the seventh child of twelve.
Shirley married a widower Wilbert Myers on July 27, 1962, and became a mom to Linda. Over the next eleven years two more children were born, Michael and Beth.
We had many adventures during those years with extended family, get togethers, cook outs, and celebrations. We grew up and so did our family to include Larry and Rochelle.
Grandchildren came and Mom and Dad had more adventures, zoo trips, The Indianapolis Children's Museum, and visiting family.
In 1992, Dad died and Mom kept busy traveling with Mike and Rochelle, to Jamaica, Georgia, and Florida. Mom has walked in the ocean and stood on a mountain top. Mom traveled with Beth, Linda and Larry to Columbus, Ohio, the Smokey Mountains and Florida.
I bet Linda, Mike, Beth, Rochelle, Larry, Robert, Michael, Aric, Bobbi, Marc, Rachel, Tina, Justice, Christian, Jonathan, AJ, Kathleen, Hudson and Julie would say grandma was the best leaf raking, game playing, pie baking, and cookie baking grandma that there ever was. We love you Mom.
She was the best mom and grandma.
