Sandra J. Rippe, 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and covered in prayer, encouragement, singing, and Scripture, on November 8, 2020. Her heart was steadfast on glorifying the Lord through her battle with cancer and being a testimony to His faithfulness and goodness. A few of her final words on her last day were, "He has a plan." Her family is now celebrating the miracle of her complete healing in Heaven as she was received by Jesus. They are blessed with the time the Lord gave them to love and be loved by Sandy.
She was born in Decatur, IN on January 18, 1960, the daughter of Leonard Zurcher, and the late Vernelle Zurcher. Sandy obtained her Associate's degree from Olivet Nazarene University. She worked at Dulin, Ward, & DeWald Accounting since 1981.
Sandy was a member of Blackhawk Ministries where she was very involved with the church and school.
In her spare time she enjoyed hiking in the woods with her husband. Spending time at the lake with her family was a favorite past time. She was actively involved with her children's sporting events. Sandy enjoyed capturing the many memories of her friends and family through photographs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Mark Rippe; daughter, Kelsey Rippe, twin sons, Preston (Kara) Rippe, and Travis (Matéa) Rippe; siblings, Brenda (Garey) Miller, Stan (Konny) Zurcher, and Arlene (John) Minerd; and father, Leonard Zurcher.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Vernelle Zurcher.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, November 16, 2020 with calling one hour prior at Blackhawk Ministries, 7400 E State Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Sunday, November 15, 2020 also at Blackhawk Ministries.
Burial will take place at Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, New Haven, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to future Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer research at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in honor of Sandy's battle with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. Contributions can be made through http://mdacc.convio.net/goto/SandrasATCstory
