Ryan was born in Jim and Charlene Knepper on April 5, 1983. Ryan grew up in LaOtto, Indiana and he graduated from East Noble High School in 2001. He graduated from IPFW with an Associate Degree in 2012. Ryan joined the 384th MPBN Division in the Army Reserves in 2005 and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was promoted to Staff Sgt. and received an Honorable Discharge in 2013. Ryan was employed at Wal-Mart Distribution Center (6074) for ten years. According to his friends there, Ryan was a legend. When the workload was heavy, Ryan was notorious for getting the job done. His favorite saying was, "Getting Hot!"
Ryan had many interests throughout his life. Some of his favorite movies were, The Wire, Donnie Darko, Rocky II, Rocky Balboa, First Blood, Rambo, and Con Air. He must've watched Con Air a dozen times. He loved Nicholas Cage! Ryan also had a passion for video games. He loved Fall Out and Dark Souls. Some of his favorite past times were traveling, camping, cook-outs, fireworks, riding his motorcycle, going to Cubs games, and spending time with his beloved dog, Cali.
Ryan had a thirst for knowledge and a way with words. He will be remembered for his good spirit, fun to be around personality, and his great sense of humor. He had several rental properties and became a jack of all trades. He loved hanging out with his family and friends more than anything and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do to help someone out if they needed a favor.
Ryan was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Krider, and his paternal grandparents, Donald and Virginia Knepper. He is survived by his parents, James P. and Charlene F. Knepper; brother, Phillip; and half siblings, Kelly (Dan) Tucker and James T. Knepper.
Ryan will be missed by all his friends and family but he will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
