Ruth Patricia Shearer, 66, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, March, 27, 2017 at Grey Stone Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Sophie (Jones) Ramage. Ruth was a waitress having been employed with several local restaurants around Fort Wayne. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bird-watching from the porch, and tending to her flower beds. She is survived by her children, Carey (Jeff) King of Decatur and Shawn Shearer of New Haven; grandchildren, Karissa (Ben) Swygart, Justin King, Jake King, and Vance Shearer; two great-grandchildren; and life partner of over 40 years, Lee Russell of Fort Wayne. Calling will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road., Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
