Michael Thomas

Michael R. “Mike” Thomas, passed away September 6, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Fort Wayne, on December 10, 1947, the son of the late Earl and Angie Thomas. Mike worked as a union griever at GE/BAE systems for over 45 years until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 12 years Mary Etta Thomas; children, Leslie (Brian) Reisgies, Lisa (Todd) Bower, Michael (Diana) Thomas, Shelley McMahon, Brent (Cortney) Scare; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Pam (Steve) Klein, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Carissa Scare. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will be Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2 to 6pm also at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, IN.
