Matthew graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in 1989 and was the Co-Captain of the Varsity Football team his senior year. He also was a member of the 1983 St. Joe Central Jr. League baseball team and played in the Jr. League World Series. Matthew was the owner of EarthCare Lawn and Landscape for 9 years.
He is survived by his children, Matthew Thomas Fox Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN, Luna Rane McFarren of Fort Wayne, IN; father, Richard Henry Fox Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN; mother Candy (Gary) Rasler of Wolcottville, IN; siblings, Jeffrey R. (Daniella) Fox of Noblesville, IN, Mindy (John) Nantz of Howell, MI; grandchildren, Zyaire Fox, Amara Lee Marie Shoppell-Wetzel Fox; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey M. Fox, Isabella Fox, Kalee Nantz, Brianna Nantz, and dear friend, Peggy.
A memorial gathering to honor Matthew's life and legacy will be held from 2:00 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne.
