Mary M. Baker

Mary M. Baker, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Englewood Heath and Rehabilitation. She was born April 21, 1929 in Fort Wayne, daughter to the late Arnold J. and Ruth Mae (Hoppas) Landis. Mary was a graduate of North Side High School. She worked as an elevator operator at the Lincoln Tower during her early years and then spent most of her life caring for her family as a homemaker. She is survived by her children, David (Nanette) Baker of Fort Wayne, Mark Baker of Fort Wayne, and Barbara (Keith) Anderson of rural Yoder; grandchildren, Brandy, Ben, Megan, Tyler, and Jericha; five great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Allen Baker in 2014; son, Terry Baker; and four siblings. A gathering and visitation for Mary will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM.
