Marilyn Louise Swain, age 77, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne on July 16, 1947 to the late Arthur C. Swain and Dorothea (Baade) Swain.
Marilyn graduated from South Side High School and was an alumnus of Parkview Hospital School of Nursing and IUPU. She worked as a nurse for Parkview Hospital for 22 years.
Marilyn is survived by her niece, Rachael (Michael) Hall, of Indianapolis and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Neal and Robert.
Marilyn is also survived by the most steadfast, caring and loyal friend anyone has ever or will ever have, Peggy Mayer. Since Marilyn graduated from nursing school, in 1971, Peggy has been an unbelievably positive presence and source of strength in Marilyn's life.
In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, Marilyn wished to be remembered with fond memories of the past years. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services.
