Marilyn Verna Perkins

Marilyn Verna Perkins, 84, passed away December 12, 2024, at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born April 13, 1940, in Cozad, Nebraska, the daughter of the late George and Verna Anderson.

She was the class Valedictorian at Lexington High School in Lexington Nebraska and earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Purdue University and her second Bachelor’s in Accounting from Indiana University.

Marilyn was a member of The Journey Church and the Christian Business and Professional Women’s Organization.

Marilyn was the owner of MVP Accounting Solutions for over 25 years.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry L. Perkins of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters, Laurie (Jeff) Thompson of Evansville, IN; Charlene Perkins of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Brian (Emilee) Thompson, Stephanie (Cole) Raven, Alex (Carissa Hoskins) Hoyle, Nick Hoyle; great grandchildren, Josie Hoskins-Hoyle, Penny Hoskins-Hoyle and Summer Raven. Marilyn is also survived by her brother, Gary (Ann) Anderson and a sister-in-law Virginia Anderson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dale Anderson.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
