Madonna “Donna” Jean Chapman, 91, passed away February 8, 2024 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Ft Wayne IN. Donna was born March 7, 1932, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Bernon and Fay (Hissong) Brown. She attended South Side High School.
Donna was the owner of Daisy Fresh Quality Clean Service for many years and retired in 2000. Her memberships included, Eagles Lodge 248, Amvets Post 55, American Legion Post 82, and the VFW Post 857. She enjoyed dancing with friends, and drinking an ice cold beer. Donna, was the life of the party, and the first to arrive and the last one to leave. Dos Margaritas was her restaurant of choice and of course all meals were accompanied with a "Tropical Margarita!" She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Donna will be missed by all who loved and cherished her. Her quick witted-responses will be missed by all who shared her sense of humor.
She is survived by her children, Sheryl “Sherry” (Dwight) Taylor-Ritchey, Jerrold “Jerry” Taylor, and Ricky (Rick) Taylor; sister-in-law, Virginia (James) Clark; grandchildren, Daniel (Shannon), Stacey (Chad), Ricky (April), Carrie (Matt), and Kimberly (Michael), and several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Roy D. Chapman Jr, July 2023; a great-great grandson, JJ Reilly, May 2023; and brothers, Robert Brown, Larry Brown and Terry Gross.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday February 16, 2024 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Road, 8325 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one-hour prior. Visitation also from 4-8 p.m. Thursday February 15, 2024 at the funeral home at 8325 Covington Rd., Ft Wayne, IN. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8408 Covington Road, Ft. Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to Parkview Hospice.
