Louise W. Brown

Louise W Brown, 97, of Fort Wayne, passed away on February 11, 2018. Born on October 28, 1920, in Preble Township, Adams County, and was a daughter of the late Christian and Lydia Wente. A member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne; she worked at the Wayne Knitting Mill, then retired in 1986, from Parkview Hospital, after 16 years of service in the Cafeteria. She is survived by her son, Keith (Rena) Brown, of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Nancy Brown, of Auburn; two step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Merrill A Brown, in 1965; son, Kenneth Brown; sisters, Gertrude Miller, and Hildegard Graft; and brothers, Edgar and Norman Wente. Funeral service will be 11am, Thursday, February 15, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2-4 & 6-8pm, Wednesday, February 14, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Worship Anew (formerly known as Worship for Shut-ins).
