Lana Marie Branch

Lana Marie Branch, 74, passed away December 8, 2024, at Heritage Park Elder Care in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born March 11, 1950, in Saranac Lake, NY, the daughter of the late George Edward and Gertrudmae Carol Branch. Lana moved to Michigan, City when she was 2 years old.

She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Michigan City, IN; and earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology for IPFW in Fort Wayne, IN.

During her career she was a crisis counselor and a cashier at 3 Rivers Natural Grocery Food Co-op and Deli in Fort Wayne.

Lana loved college basketball and professional football and enjoyed rehashing plays, the day after the game. She loved nature and believed in the goodness of all living creatures. .

She is survived by her sister, Susan Jane Branch of Michigan City, IN; and a brother, Brett (Diane) Branch of Plano, TX; sister-in-law Brenda Branch, 2 nieces, 3 great nieces, 6 great nephews and dear friend, Debbie Foreman.

Lana was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Maxine and Heine Grattenthaler, brother, George Branch, brother-in-law Robert Fatt.

She will be remembered as a kind and gentle person and was always willing to listen and help anyway she could.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Park for all of their kindness and love they shown to Lana.
