Obituario de Kenneth "Kenny" Leroy Munson
Kenneth “Kenny” Leroy Munson, 77, of Emison, Indiana, formerly of Fort Wayne passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He was born on March 17, 1946, in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Donald Harold and Agnes Ilene (Rice) Munson. He mastered carpentry and created beautiful pieces of art primarily out of wood. In his free time, he enjoyed selling his woodwork at craft shows and festivals, going to flea markets and antique shopping. Fishing, camping, and gardening were his favorite hobbies. Kenny had a ‘green thumb’ and could grow almost anything. He will also be remembered for his love of the weather, doing his fair share of storm watching and chasing. His daily phone calls were a favorite of his children. Kenny was also one that never knew a stranger, often finding himself spending the day at Tom’s Donuts chatting it up with anyone that walked in. Surviving family include his wife, Laura Munson; children, Tammy (Donald) Munson-Walker; John Munson, Harmony (Charles) Triplett, Briana (Christopher) Phillips, Cory Munson, and Robert (Shanta) Egly; grandchildren, John, David, Joey, Tammy, Brian, Lynn, Kianna, Tawhana, Katelyn, Hailey, Cierra, and Serena; three great grandchildren; and sister, Jan (Steve) Woods; and beloved pet, Honey. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his siblings Carol, Judy, Doug, Sue, and Linda; and beloved dog, Precious. Funeral service will be 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
