Kenneth W. Doctor, 89 passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Born October 27, 1932 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a son of the late Herbert and Irmgard (Albersmeyer) Doctor. Ken served in the United States Army during the Korean War in Alaska. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He was a lifelong member of American Legion Post #241 and a member of the Wing Dinger Club. Ken enjoyed farming, riding motorcycles, and taking vacations with the motorcycle. He is survived by his son, Kevin Doctor; daughters, Gail (Mark) Jenkins and Di Galentine; grandchildren, Heather (Nate) Nutter, Matt (Sheryl) Jenkins, Joshua (Stephanie) Galentine, Jeremy (Ginnie) Galentine, Justin (Ashley) Galentine, Jenny (AJ) Chavira, and Jordan (Brittny) Galentine; 20 grandchildren; sister, Colleen (Don) Stalter; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Doctor, Betty Doctor, Marcella Lake, and Laverne Macke. Ken was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene Doctor; siblings, Patricia (Delmar) Gerbers, Dean, David, and Linda Doctor; daughter-in-law, Sarah Doctor; son-in-law, David Galentine; and brother-in-law's, Don Macke, Jim Lake, and Leonard Thieme. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Homes, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 3-7pm on Monday, September 19, 2022 at the funeral home. Contributions in Kenneth's memory may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, Worship Anew, or Meals on Wheels.
