Kathryn Elizabeth Minnick, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away surrounded by family on October 30, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Josephine (Stein) Glasper. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 8, 1929, eventually moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Kathryn attended Central Catholic High School and graduated in 1947. She married Gerald Aloysius Minnick on July 31, 1948. Kathryn held a series of clerical assistant positions, eventually retiring in 1992 from Saint Francis University (College of Science) after more than 25 years of service. She was a woman of faith in God, a member of Saint Therese Catholic Church. Kathryn loved her family and extended family a great deal, always ready to assist, lend a sympathetic ear, and assuring them of her prayer support. She was amazing at crossword puzzles and remembering birthdays and anniversaries. Kathryn was delighted by Facebook posts of family members and friends, checking daily postings enthusiastically with “likes” and “Comments.” Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Bradley) Glass, Margaret (Carl) Kleber, and Maureen (William) Yankowiak; son, Michael (Sandra) Minnick; 14 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Gerald Aloysius; brothers, Robert, William, and John; and sisters, Clementine, Connie, and Mary. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with a rosary service beginning at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819, with visitation one hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Therese Catholic Church or Masses.
