Katherine "Katie" Diane Green

Katherine Diane Green was born March 26, 1996 in Peoria, Illinois and lived most of her life in Fort Wayne, Indiana. "Katie" as she was known, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was a daughter of Mike and Kathie (nee. Kitron) Green. In 2014, she graduated from Northrop High School where she was a member of the Teaching Academy. Katie worked with her sister, Cara Green, cleaning houses for their business C&K Cleaning. "Katie was our book reader", she loved dog sitting and wanted one so badly, and she truly loved her nieces. She was the best aunt with her sister. Everyone who met her called her sweet - she had the loveliest nature and lived by the beat of her own drummer. "We really did expect her to write an amazing book one day". Katie is survived by her parents, Mike and Kathie of Fort Wayne; her loved sister and best friend, Cara; her brother, Matt (wife Kyrstin) as well as nieces Mylee, Allison, Ashlynn and Madison Green, Phoebe and Pyper Moore; and nephew, Jaden Savage; her maternal grandfather, Fred Hemsath; several uncles, aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Green, in 2017; paternal grandparents, M.L. and Janet Green; maternal grandparents, Carole Hemsath and Ralph Kitron Sr. Celebration of Life Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at D.O.
