JAMES A. HARRIS SR., 77, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Parkview Hospital. Born Oct. 2, 1933, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Claude and Ora (Scribner) Harris. He was an avid golfer in his early years, and a member of the Fort Wayne Transportation Club. He is survived by his wife, Diane Harris; daughters, Deb (Thom) Fitzcharles and Karen (Shane) Coffey; son, James (Kelly) Harris Jr.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack and Ben Harris; and sisters, Barb Larimer, and Pat Wolf. He was also preceded in death by six brothers; and two sisters. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday Dec. 27, 2010 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N Wells St. with visitation one hour prior.
