Ina Claire Baird Roof

INA CLAIRE ROOF, 79, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at The Towne House Retirement Center. Born in Winchester, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Herschel and Eva Baird. She worked for Fort Wayne Community Schools (Kekionga Middle School and Elmhurst High School) for 28 years. She was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughters, Debra (Jose Luis Gonzalez-Moreno) Roof of Madrid, Spain and Karen (Ron) McClure of Fort Wayne; grandsons, Michael Dean (Shannon) McClure and Matthew Foster McClure, both of Fort Wayne and Alvaro Gonzalez-Roof of Madrid, Spain; great-granddaughters, Jaden Claire McClure and Taylor Maxine McClure; and sisters, JoAnn King of Dayton, Ohio and Nancy Santon of Foster City, Calif. She was also preceded in death by her husband, K. Dean Roof, in 2003. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
